I would start with Allen  & Heath myself.

I know that seems a little weird Rolling Eyes  Laughing

You aren't going to find many people that stock them

American Music and Sound is a U.S. based A&H parts & service depot. They were very helpful when I had to fix up my GL4000

Support dude: David Mitchell <david.mitchell@americanmusicandsound.com>

Any Idea on what  a channel strip would cost?  Theres a gl2200 on ebay with a bad power supply, thinking on getting that?

Reseat the ribbon cable first. Have you opened up the mixer? It's super simple.

Aux 1-4 does not work when in pre, but it works when in post, that would tell me its not the cable, but maybe the switch?

Experienced the same issue on a 3300 channel last year.  Problem - lifted trace on a cap for the channel.  Was a visible problem and an easy fix.  2200 crazy mute light syndrome repairs seem like they're usually the same lifted trace issue.  I'm not suggesting a GL series weakness, but seems heavier components are linked to failure on well-traveled consoles.

IIRC, the circuitry involving post-fader drive is somewhere around the mute switch, pan knob, etc., on the channel card.  A good visual inspection could be fruitful.

Hi Alan. The advice given here is good. If you want circuit cards for an A&H mixer start by contacting A&H.

That said, it is very rare that you need to replace a card. Most faults can be fixed. Could be as simple as reseating a cable or resoldering a joint, or it may take a visit to a service centre. Contacting A&H Tech Support is a good idea as they can talk you through diagnostics to help identify where in the signal chain the fault may be.

In your case I would certainly inspect the circuit card very closely, good lamp and magnifying glass handy. As suggested here a broken trace or lifted pad around the PRE switch or circuits feeding it could be the problem, easily fixed.

If you need more help please contact A&H.
Regards,
Carey (A&H Design)

A buddy of mine finally found time to look at the desk, we found a broken tracer on each channel strip that was sending signal when in the pre to the aux out.  Soldered in a piece of wire and all is good.
