I've been thinking about digital multicore applications and wondering how people deal with control data that needs to travel from FoH to stage.

I would typically have XTA Audiocore using RS485, and D&B Audiotechnik R1 using CanBus.
All very easy using copper, but this digital stuff is a whole new ball game.
Recommendations anyone?

strap a few analogue cores to the digital snake.. can be used for comms etc as well
