In case anyone is looking for such a beast, AtteroTech http://www.atterotech.com/ is making a few such boxes.

They have a very nicely priced 4x4 module (which has preamps if you need them) and even an external usb cobranet soundcard (windows/mac) for playout (or injest) to/from a cobranet network.

Just in case there is someone here who that may apply to......

Very cool stuff. Wish I had known about them for a job last year...would have come in handy.
