Re: DSP setting for Danley TH Mini's-Easy test

Another even quicker test would be be run the 718 presets as he does normally and listen to the 718 hooked up.

Now-WITHOUT CHANGING ANYTHING ELSE, unplug the 718 and then just plug the same speaker cable (with the same DSP settings) into the Th Mini.

Then listen.  Is it louder or not?

Yes the DSP may not be the "proper" one for the Mini-but it will give an idea of the overall level difference.

Hi, just wondering if you clustered them? Horns really need to be clustered to get the full benefit from them. The JBL's you have are pretty good which is why I never encouraged you to go with the mini's - I'm not at all surprised that they aren't louder and if split left and right are less loud. Below 50hz the JBL's will definitely out pound them for sure (at least +6dB at 40hz). A MaxxBass unit will get your apparent low end back up to where it was - no way would I DJ with subs that don't go down to 40hz without one! Live music you can get away with 50hz subs...

As opposed to work well.  After using subs with 30hz corner, with plenty of clean headroom, subs that only go to 50 now sound, emasculated  Sad

That was what I noticed even just moving from LA400's with a -3dB point around 49hz and then going to the Growlers with a -3dB point even just 5-6hz lower I noticed it.
