Any suggestions for high quality, flexible, and durable vga cable that is good for the heavy usage of an a/v rental house.  The stuff we have now coils poorly and can be rather hard to lay out if the twist is too severe (especially on the 100' runs.)  We have a few shorter runs which have a ribbed jacket that behave quite well, though no one knows where we bought them or who makes them.

Our rental dept bought CAT 5 converters, connectors and crimp tools. The cable cost less than the gaff tape that holds it down. And if you need to replace a cable damaged by a catering cart you can get it at Home Depot not Next Day Air.

Not a bad idea. It would certainly have it's upside for some applications.  The problems I foresee with this type of solution is
the possibility of lower signal quality and more things to break.

The signal quality will likely be better than VGA cable at 100+ feet unless you are using really big (RG-6) cables.
