Download WinISD and make your own calculation. It is really easy.
You need big reflex box for Kilomax. Please dont try to feed them with 1250W. 750-800W is a more realistic number for that driver.

Mark,
You already posted this on the sub forum.. and got a good answer. What more are you wanting?
Generally, it's not a good idea to double post. Now there are 2 different threads.
If you want my answer.. go back and ask on the other thread..

8 Cubic feet with a 30 hz tuning would be a good place to start.  But be careful, it will be really easy to blow them from over excursion with much more than 500 watts on each.  Use 3 4" ports about 12" deep.  You can easily double that if needed for 2 drivers.

I honestly don't really like how this driver models up.

I built 4 of these last month. This pdf is 12 pages long so I won't burn bandwidth on the forum by pasting it.

http://www.eminence.com/proaudio_speaker_detail.asp?web_deta il_link=KILOMAXPRO18A&speaker_size=18&SUB_CAT_ID=1

They do well. Not as musical or accurate as some others I fancy, but lots of output.
Cabinet was 22.5"W x 24"D x 30" tall. When I swept it with the sine-wave gen it came on strong at about 45hz. and it resoed out around 110hz. It has output below 40, but ignore that. High-pass at 40hz, Butterworth slope, steep as you can if you're going to drive it hard (and who doesn't?).

I used 4 of these ports from Parts Express:
P/N-260-480  Port Tube 3-3/4" ID x 7-5/8" L Flared

These made it easy and painless, just had to make a jig for the router. 4 holes later, done!
Use 13 ply with screws and do diagonal bracing on the box sides.
Dado the baffle board into the box sides then brace the baffle to the back of the box with a "tee" section of 13 ply.

Brace the shit-out-of-it.
Hell, brace the braces.
Take all the scrap and use it for braces!

The customer had these drivers so I had to use them. I was pleasantly surprised at the outcome. They were powered with Crest 8001's (1 box /ch.) and just shook glassware off the bar shelves.

Keep us posted on your design and outcome.
later,
Dan 0;)

I would like to see a picture of the boxes you made.

I've modeled the Kilomax quite a bit, and built a box. They can take the full 1250 watts if you tine the box and high pass them higher...around 45Hz. Eminence Designer actually recommends crossing them at 45 to avoid over excursion. They are designed for massive output, not super lows.

And if you're bracing anything, you have to subtract the volume of the braces from your box volume to make sure you stay true to the design.
