Best friend's wedding. Most recent pic I have (take on 2/16/08) that shows me with my nominal facial hair.

There it is, folks... proof that Rees is a dangerous subversive... holding THE weapon of musical destruction, the accordion!  In terms of fear and loathing, the banjo comes close, and only the highland pipes exceed the accordion.

{insert favorite banjo/accordion/bagpipe jokes here}

Don't let the genial, grandfather look fool you... this guy is dangerous. He answers only to the ghost of Myron Floren Shocked

What do you call it when you throw a banjo in the dumpster and it lands on the accordion?

Perfect pitch.

BA-DUM!!!!

Edit:

And, by the way, that skweezbox bought me a nice PA so I could spend my senior years carting around tons of stuff to make even more noise!!!!!!

Note ...facial hair is NOT a requirement to play instuments of musical destruction.

...now large ears and banjos sort of go together like "squeal" and "pig".

Scary, one of the first times I've heard that an accordian done good. ;>)

One of my favs:

What's the difference between an accordian and a banjo?

The Accordian burns longer.

My short list:  Sharon Shannon, John Williams, and Jimmy Thibodeaux.

Just to keep this on topic, I haven't seen my chin since '76-at least the first one.  The second one shows up for short while, usually after a visit to my barber. ;>)

Best regards,

John

I actually play both the piano (chromatic) accordion and the diatonic button accordion.  Here's one great TexMex singer/player....Mingo Saldivar.  And for Zydeco don't ever, EVER forget Queen Ida.
