It works. Works well with a booster in fact, bringing it down to the venue tomorrow. If anybody's interested I can upload pictures.

 I have set up exactly such a system at a sports ground using exactly the same Sennheiser gear you are proposing. It has a single transmitter and multiple receivers around the ground. If you have clear line of sight you can probably get a satisfactory result using the standard antennae as I have done  up to 150 metres distance. With active aroels at both ends you will get  greater distances if necessary.

What "active aroel" (sic) are you using on the transmit side?

Sorry for the typo, at least you didn't think I was using aureoles...... Both ends referred to the receivers at both ends of the football ground. Hope that clears it up for you.
